Brisbane, Queensland
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and is Australia's third largest city. Brisbane enjoys a sub-tropical climate of hot humid summers and mild dry winters. On the banks of the Brisbane River, the city's suburbs sprawl out to Moreton Bay and through the foothills of the D'Aguilar Range. Lookouts on Mt Coot-tha offer excellent views of Brisbane and its suburbs.
In the heart of the city is Queen Street shopping mall, and the city is compact and easy to explore. Brisbane is a scenic city, surrounded by hills and lookouts, with several impressive bridges spanning the Brisbane River.
South Bank Parklands on the Brisbane River is the site of a riverbank promenade, city beach, waterways, theme attractions, cafes, restaurants and entertainment. The Parklands are adjacent to the Queensland Cultural Centre with galleries and museums. The Brisbane River is a great way to see the city from either a cruise boat or by rowboat. The River is fringed with gardens, boat moorings, cafes and paths for walking or cycling.
Parking
Parking, guests who are staying in the hotel are guaranteed a car park any guests who are attending the conference by are not staying in the hotel parking is subject to availability, cost of car parking for all guests self park $20per car per day or $25per car valet parking. (please note that we do have limited car parking, there is a Wilson's Carpark in Mary Street (2 blocks from the hotel which we recommend as alternate parking if we are full.)
Brisbane Airport
The Brisbane Airport is conveniently located approximately 15-20 minutes drive (13 km) from Brisbane CBD, 75 minutes drive from the Gold Coast and 105 minutes drive from the Sunshine Coast. Please note that longer travel times can be experienced during peak hour.
Directions to the Stamford Plaza Hotel from the airport:
On Airport Drive, turn left onto the Gateway Motorway.Exit Motorway at City turnoff into Links Avenue.At the traffic lights turn left into Kingsford Smith Drive.Follow Kingsford Smith Drive and exit at city turn off, onto Breakfast Creek Road, which leads onto Ann Street.Turn Left into Edward Street and follow down to the end and the hotel is on the left.
Alternatively, take the Airtrain from the Airport, stop off at Central Station andwalk approximately 1km down Edward Street, the hotel is on the corner of Edward & Margaret Streetsnext to the BotanicGardens. Morning teas, afternoon teas and lunches will be held at the Stamford Plaza Hotel. If you have any special requirements please complete the appropriate section on the registration form. The Conference Dinner in the River Room of the Stamford Plaza is $115.

The Conference registration desk will be situated at the Stamford Plaza Hotel. It will be open for check in and on-site registration at the following times:
- Tuesday 23rd September: 4:00pm to 6:30pm
- Wednesday 24th September: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Thursday 25th September: 8:00am to 5:00pm
